Blue Dress World | The Map
It made sense to me to format my journey into a map of sorts. A little bit theme park, a little bit hero’s journey video game with color coded areas. It will help me organize my thoughts and help you jump to the “area” you’d like to explore.
Area 1 | Main Boulevard – Yellow
The entry to my life’s journey is a street with shops and pavilions. Here, you can go to the bookstore and see my book recommendations and reviews, read about some history of our world and talk about things happening in the “real world”. This will be where the down to Earth information, tools and references will reside.
Area 2 | Atomic Future Land – Blue
This is where my awakening lives. This is where my soul woke up and introduced me to my higher self. It felt foreign and sleek… I felt like I didn’t belong here. But I wanted to belong here.
Area 3 | The City of Make Believe – Pink
This place. This is where I spent the bulk of my life. This is where the parents and spouses that refuse to grow up live. This is where you pretend that everything is OK, everything is magical when it’s actually a dumpster fire. You can spin narratives to make yourself believe that your life is fulfilling, people are all giving and loving. You get the picture. It’s where you go to fake your way through reality. This is also where the early conditioning lives. Where I learned to be a people pleaser, that self sacrifice was noble, that I didn’t matter. My guess is that most of you will resonate with this land quite a bit.
Area 4 | The Wild West – Orange
This place is anarchy. This is where you’ll face the hardest truths with me. Where you’ll have your reckoning with reality and face the truth of your life head on. The dark night of the soul lives here. It’s the emotional frontier where you had to fight for yourself and truly deal with your demons.
Area 5 | Safari Junction – Green
This is where the wake up call began. Sort of like Jumanji. The game starts here and you can’t turn back. You realize that you want more, that life is here for you. You are truly alive and want to be the main character in your life, not the supporting role. If we have guest bloggers, there will be here, like a tour guide of sorts.
Area 6 | The Tower – Gray
The castle in the middle is where you rest. Where you feel safe. Feeling safe was the very first thing that needed to happen for the journey to truly begin. So the castle represents you. You are your home, you are your safety.
Area 7 | Cartoon land – Beyond the Back Hills – Red
This is where the posts that don’t fit anywhere will go. Odd dreams, epiphanies and nonsensical or unexplained posts.
